How Much Does Root Canal Treatment Cost Abroad?

ROOT CANAL COSTS

Root-canal prices abroad can look low, but a fair comparison must include diagnosis, number of canals, specialist skill, final restoration and follow-up.

Prices last checked: August 2026. Published overseas fees may range from roughly £100 to £450 per tooth, with molars and specialist treatment costing more.

Why prices vary

Front teeth usually have fewer canals than molars. Curved, calcified or previously treated canals are more difficult. Microscopes, 3D imaging and treatment by an endodontist can add cost but may be clinically important.

What should the quote include?

  • examination and diagnostic X-rays;
  • all treatment visits and canal fillings;
  • rubber-dam isolation;
  • temporary and permanent core restoration;
  • medicines only when clinically indicated;
  • final crown or onlay where required;
  • review X-rays and complication policy.

Root canal and crown are separate costs

Many treated back teeth require cuspal protection. A headline root-canal price may omit the final crown, which can be the larger expense. Ask for the combined total.

Can it be finished in one visit?

Some cases can; infected, complex or retreatment cases may need more. Treatment duration should follow the diagnosis, not a return flight.

TRIP-PLANNING TOOL

Select every procedure planned for the same trip. The calculator uses the most conservative selected estimate, because combining treatments can extend recovery.

Which procedures are you considering?
Important: This is a general planning aid, not personalised medical clearance. Your dentist or surgeon must set your travel timetable after examining you. Complications, infection, sedation, multiple procedures and existing health conditions can require a longer stay. Seek urgent professional help for heavy bleeding, breathing or swallowing difficulty, rapidly increasing swelling, fever or severe uncontrolled pain.

Questions to ask

  • Who performs the treatment and do they use magnification?
  • How many canals are expected?
  • Is this first treatment or retreatment?
  • What final restoration protects the tooth?
  • Who helps if symptoms return at home?
