Dentures can replace several or all missing teeth. Abroad, the options include conventional complete dentures, partial dentures and implant-supported designs. Comfort and value depend on examination, impressions, bite records, try-ins and adjustment—not simply the material name.

Main denture options
A complete denture replaces all teeth in an arch. A partial denture replaces some teeth and may use acrylic, metal or flexible components. Implant-supported overdentures gain retention from implants but remain removable by the patient. Fixed implant bridges are a different treatment.
Why try-ins and adjustments matter
Dentures interact with speech, chewing, facial support and delicate oral tissues. A rushed package that allows no time for a wax try-in or post-fitting review can leave problems unresolved before the flight home. New dentures normally require adaptation and may need adjustments as tissues settle.
Maintenance and replacement
Cleaning instructions, nightly removal where advised, oral-cancer screening and periodic assessment remain important even without natural teeth. Attachments in implant overdentures can wear, and dentures may need relining or replacement as the mouth changes.
| Option | Removable? | Main planning issue |
|---|---|---|
| Complete denture | Yes | Fit changes as gums and bone change |
| Partial denture | Yes | Design around remaining teeth |
| Implant overdenture | Yes | Attachment maintenance |
| Fixed implant bridge | No, by patient | Professional maintenance and higher cost |
