Provider details last checked: August 2026. Always obtain current policy wording and a written answer covering your exact treatment, residence, destination and clinic.

USA and wider international enquiries

Our current verification did not identify a mainstream US travel insurer publicly promising direct-to-consumer coverage for planned overseas dental work. US residents should use a licensed broker and request specialist medical-tourism complication coverage in writing. Ordinary products from travel-medical insurers such as IMG, GeoBlue or Seven Corners focus on unexpected illness or emergencies and must not be assumed to cover the planned procedure.

ComplicationInsure Dental Trip Plan States cover for eligible dental-tourism complications through authorised/accredited treatment institutions; destination, clinic and purchase-route restrictions apply
Global Protective Solutions via broker Worldwide participation is advertised; obtain residence-specific terms from a licensed seller

Checklist for comparing any provider

  • Is the seller licensed for your country or state/province?
  • Is the exact dental procedure named?
  • Are complications covered abroad and after returning home?
  • Are the clinic and destination eligible?
  • What are the limits, excess, waiting period and reporting deadline?
  • Is medical evacuation included?
  • Are additional flights, hotels and companion costs covered?
  • Does cosmetic dissatisfaction count as a complication? Usually not.

Country guidance

Residents of the USA, Canada, UK, Australia and Ireland should also consult their government travel and medical-tourism guidance. Governments generally will not pay private foreign medical bills or repatriation costs.
